Steel Magnolias provides care packages designed to offer comfort and encouragement to people who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Steel Magnolias PINKS Boutique provides important items to breast cancer patients at no cost, including:

Breast Cancer Support Meetings

According to Steel Magnolias, snacks are provided at treatment locations including the oncology and radiation oncology departments at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center and Clearview Cancer Institute, as well as Alabama Cancer Care of Anniston.

Dining Assistance for Families

Steel Magnolias also provides dining vouchers for family members of cancer patients undergoing surgery at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.

The vouchers help provide a meal for family members who may spend long hours at the hospital supporting their loved one.

Prayer and Emotional Support

Steel Magnolias provides encouragement and prayer support for people facing a breast cancer diagnosis.

Its chaplain correspondence program sends prayer cards to newly diagnosed patients and adds their names to the organization's prayer list.

Breast Cancer Awareness and Education

Supporting patients is only part of the mission. Steel Magnolias also works to increase breast cancer awareness and education in the local community.
